Microsoft Teams — How to Arrange Teams Into Groups

You’ve just realised that you may have too many teams in your Microsoft Teams account. You proceed by doing a sensible triage, putting the maybe not too important ones into the ”Hidden teams” drop-down menu. The list seems more manageable, but you’d still want more order from the chaos that is Teams. I’ve been in this situation myself. Here’s how I structured things.

What it looks like.
What it looks like.

To make a rudimentary ”folder”, add a new Team, name it (I recommend adding some symbols and using capitals to make them more distinguishable from normal teams), then change the Team-logo to one of ones, depending on whether you’re using the light or dark theme. Admittedly, my solution is a bit of a bodge. But hey, what are you going to do when the feature is not there?

Darkness.
Darkness.

Here’s to hoping that Microsoft will add web-browser-style tabs in the near future!

Right-click on the colour and click on “Save image as…” in the drop-down menu.
